The 10th Annual Labor Day
Softball Classic is Dedicated in Loving Memory of
Chuck Pottebaum and Kayla Boner.
Chuck Pottebaum
Born on June 2nd
1952 in Dubuque, Iowa, he umpired softball and officiated
basketball.
In 1998, he
started working for Mid America Sports. He was a great leader,
hard-working, loved to joke with kids and parents, and was a
great asset to the company.
Kayla Boner
Kayla played her last softball
tournament in Grinnell, IA just 12 short months
ago. She played for the Central Iowa Xtreme made
up of girls from Des Moines, Colfax, Prairie City,
Monroe and Altoona Iowa on Labor Day weekend.
Kayla had a tremendous offensive
and defensive average that weekend and pitched her
best game that put her team into the
Championship game in the 14U (B) Division. She
played all out that weekend.
